I always stop to appreciate the beauty of the world in whichever environment I happen to find myself. My life as a photographer began in Michigan where I learned to appreciate urban scenes as well as lakes, rivers and forests in all four of the seasons. I moved to Utah in 2002 to enjoy the mountains, deserts and all of the splendors that the West has to offer. Even when I do not have a camera in hand, I find myself noticing great photographs in every situation. I get immense pleasure when shooting a scene that I know will turn out just as great as I see it.

My photographs intend to balance interesting subjects with the perfect amount of light and composition. I focus on outdoor landscape scenery because I enjoy being in the outdoors and love to be surprised by new discoveries. My favorite photos are typically ones that require that I spend hours getting to a vantage point because I know that I am one of a few that will see the scene in real life. My photos are shot with 35mm film and more recently digital medium although I do not digitally enhance any of my work.

The world is an amazing place and I hope you enjoy the beauty that my photographs aim to portray.
